Small, rural school districts often face unique challenges in providing equitable services to all students. However, with the help of the WHAS Crusade, including the most recent award for the 25-26 school year, BHSC has been able to overcome many of these barriers by introducing tools and strategies that support individual growth, promote independence, and foster emotional and academic development. These resources are rooted in evidence-based practices and are thoughtfully implemented to meet the diverse needs of students who require intensive interventions.
Most importantly, the support from the WHAS Crusade has given students who often face the greatest challenges the tools they need to find their voice, build confidence, and experience success. Whether learning to communicate, regulate emotions, develop motor skills, or access content in new ways, our students are making incredible strides—each at their own pace, and in ways that matter most to them.
Thank you, WHAS Crusade for Children!
