In case you missed yesterday's post, this week is Gifted and Talented Awareness Week. This Thursday, we will hold a parent meeting for parents of high-ability students. Those parents should have received a brochure invitation. If you have not responded to the RSVP, please do so now.

The term "gifted and talented" refers to students, children, or youth who exhibit high achievement capabilities in areas like intellectual, creative, artistic, or leadership capacity, or in specific academic fields. Student with gifts and talents:
- Come from all racial, ethnic, and cultural populations, as well as all socio-economic backgrounds.
- Require sufficient access to appropriate learning opportunities to realize their potential.
- Can have learning and processing disorders that require specialized intervention and accommodation.
- Need support and guidance to develop socially and emotionally, as well as in their areas of talent.
All BHSC schools will be on 2 hour delay tomorrow Monday, April 7th due to some remaining flooded areas. Water is receding and the morning daylight will allow us to check road conditions. 2 hr delay not normal Monday 1 hr delay.
Prosser is on a 2 hour delay Monday, April 7, 2025. This means there is no AM Prosser for students.
Due to some technical difficulties and statewide internet issues from the severe weather BHSC 2025/2026 Online Registration Portal will be opening on April 8, 2025. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
The 2 hour delay at HHS due to inclement weather means there will be no AM Prosser transportation provided. It is AM Prosser student's responsibility to be in contact with their Prosser Instructors. HHS will still provide transportation for the PM Prosser students at normal time.
All BHSC schools will be on a 2-hour delay on Friday, April 4th. This will provide us with daylight to survey potential flooding from additional rainfall. There is a possibility that, upon reevaluation tomorrow morning, we could shift to either synchronous or asynchronous eLearning.

Starting March 31, the front parking lot at HES and HHS will be reserved exclusively for bus traffic between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. During this time, no vehicles, other than buses, will be allowed to enter the front lot for student drop-off. This includes the staff parking area located at the front of the building.
This change is being implemented to ensure student safety and to allow for proper supervision during morning arrival. We kindly ask that you drop your student off at the back of the building during this time.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for all students.

Congrats to our Junior High School Students of the Month for February.
Come out and support the Henryville Elementary and Middle School robotics teams on Sunday, March 16th, 2025 from 1:00-4:00 PM as they host the 1st Annual Henryville Robotics Chili Cook-Off and Robotics Showcase! Funds raised at this event will be used to send qualifying teams to the Indiana State Robotics Championship on March 22nd, and hopefully to the VEX Robotics World Championship in early May. Remaining funds will go toward the 2025-2026 competition season.
The event will include the chili cook-off, bake sale, silent auction, and a robotics showcase. Our award winning teams will be showcasing the robots they have been competing with all season through exhibition matches, skill events and more. There will even be some pre-built robots for community members to test their driving skills!
There is still time to enter a chili into the cook-off or become an event sponsor!
