Hello BHSC families, In case you missed yesterday's post, this week is Gifted and Talented Awareness Week. This Thursday, we will hold a parent meeting for parents of high-ability students. Those parents should have received a brochure invitation. If you have not responded to the RSVP, please do so now. https://forms.gle/avaQXs3mmCYnu1mU8 The term "gifted and talented" refers to students, children, or youth who exhibit high achievement capabilities in areas like intellectual, creative, artistic, or leadership capacity, or in specific academic fields. Student with gifts and talents: - Come from all racial, ethnic, and cultural populations, as well as all socio-economic backgrounds. - Require sufficient access to appropriate learning opportunities to realize their potential. - Can have learning and processing disorders that require specialized intervention and accommodation. - Need support and guidance to develop socially and emotionally, as well as in their areas of talent.
